Where Is It Used?
Bituminous 6F3 is commonly used as a capping layer over weak or uneven ground before a finer sub-base material is installed. It can also be used to raise site levels, fill larger areas and provide additional ground stability.
The material is also suitable for temporary access roads, construction site compounds, yards and hardstanding. It can support domestic and agricultural groundwork as well as larger commercial, infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
A Practical and Sustainable Choice
Reusing recovered bituminous materials helps reduce the amount of road construction material being sent to landfill. It also lowers demand for newly quarried aggregate, providing a more environmentally responsible option for suitable projects.
Bituminous 6F3 offers a cost effective solution for capping, bulk filling and temporary surface applications. At Wm Hamilton & Sons, our materials are carefully processed to provide a dependable and consistent product for use on site.
