When you see William Hamilton’s model fleet of Scanias you can be forgiven for thinking the operations solely about muck shifting and Tipping, however, it is only the tip of the environmental iceberg at Stonehouse, where Sweeper Hire and Soil Recycling plays a major part in the business.

The best way to describe the operation is to imagine a big circle. It isn’t straight out and straight back for another load, but once tipped a slight diversion to another depot for a different load. This way it guarantees the vehicles have a paying load 80% of the time.

All our Vehicles are generally replaced on a 3 year replacement programme as we feel that most hard working vehicles are less reliable after that time, we also carry out a regular preventative maintenance programme with our own dedicated experienced workshop staff that can also do repairs large and small out of hours to keep the fleet on the road the next morning giving our customers a second to none service.
